BULK insert truncation error

Strange data truncation problem runinng a BULK insert on SQL Server on LINUX?

BULK INSERT MyTable FROM 'my_table.csv'
 WITH (FIELDTERMINATOR = ',', ROWTERMINATOR = '\n');

[S0001][4863] Bulk load data conversion error (truncation) for row 1, column 34 (my_column).

Try using the binary representation for the row terminator (e.g. 0x0a in place of \n).

BULK INSERT MyTable FROM 'my_table.csv'
 WITH (FIELDTERMINATOR = ',', ROWTERMINATOR = '0x0a');
